Nourish treatment argan skin rescue

Every so often the beauty world will get obsessed with something and all of a sudden you will see it EVERYWHERE. That's exactly the case with argan oil, if you go down to your local drugstore i'm sure you will spot millions of products that claim to contain this miracle ingredient. But what exactly is argan oil anyway?

Argan oil is produced from the kernels of the argan tree and is adored by cosmetics manufacturers for its essential nutritional components, that work wonders for your skin, nails and hair. The problem is,in a sea of argan enriched products it can be hard to spot the real gems. You may have seen my review of the fabulous Nourish Balance skin care line (if not, click here  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6I5mf0205Kk) but I was also then sent their newest product, the argan skin rescue treatment. This product is 90% organic and is described as a treatment that enhances collagen and the skins natural lipids in order to protect the skin against signs of ageing.

Truth be told I was a little hesitant to try this as I have very oily skin and I was a little worried it would be too  much for my skin to handle, but i'm very pleasantly surprised. The argan rescue treatment has lots of amazing anti-aging properties, but I was most interested in the fact that they claim it neutralises harmful free radicals and reduces the blotchiness and scarring of your skin, is easily absorbed  so skin doesn't become oily and/or shiny. I have clear skin, but I do however suffer from blotchiness and scarring, and although my skin is oily it can get a little dehydrated from time to time, so I like to have products around that can fix that, just in case.

I really love the Nourish packaging, it's simple, pretty yet natural looking and this treatment comes  in a little glass bottle with a pump, so it's easy to dispense the product out. The treatment it's self is a cross between a serum and a facial oil in my opinion, it feels amazing on the skin and has just the right texture for you to give yourself a facial massage (which is very good for your skin btw) it has a lovely citrus scent but it does feel slightly little oily on the skin upon application, and while I don't mind that at night, it's not something I like in the morning as it tends to make my makeup move around my skin.I use this at night a few times a week instead of a moisturizer, but if you have very dry skin you could apply this on damp skin as they suggest for an extra boost, and layer your night cream over the top. At £18.95  per 15ml it's a little expensive, but when compared to other products on the market that claim to do the same (yes advanced night repair, i'm talking to you!) it's not that bad.

If you want to find out a little more about this product and where you can buy it, click here-   http://www.nourishskinrange.com/argan-skin-rescue/ as I really do think it will be a grate little helper when your skin needs that extra little something.

SIBU replenishing night cream review!

Night cream is one of those skin care products that's not for everyone, but being the skin care junkie that I am, I love it and am a huge believer in  putting moisture back in to your skin, day or night.

For those of you who like your skin care PC, this night cream is paraben free, cruelty free and sulfate free and contains some rather funny ingredients  such a broccoli  sprout extract, and cauliflower sprout extract . SIBU describe it as a all natural renewal formula designed to protect your skins natural lipid barrier  and renew your skin cells. They claim it helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and noticeably reduce visible sun damage. So, your asking, what's it like?

The first thing you will notice about this cream is the scent. It has a lovely, fruity scent, but in a very natural way, and the smell personally reminds me of chocolate orange (but that may just be my chocolate obsessed brain) and it makes it lovely to use because it's a fresh, yet comforting scent. It comes in a glass jar which i'm a huge fan of, I think it's due to the fact that it reminds me of being a child and thinking glass jars looked so grown up and luxe. Anyway, it has a light but very nourishing formula, and although it says it's suitable for all skin types, I personally think it would be better for dryer skin, rather that oily skin like mine as it did provide a little too much moisture for my skin, but I think it would be perfect for dryer, more mature skin. After using it for a while, the fine lines around my eye area did seem to have softened, but due to the fact I hardly have any wrinkles, it's a little hard to tell. I do however, have a lot  of sun damage on my face from before I became obsessed with sunscreen, around my nose and cheek area mainly. I didn't notice any difference in the appearance of my sun damage, but my skin did feel incredibly soft and plump.

At $34.95 (Around £22) per 30ml I think it's very reasonable priced, and would be perfect for someone who loves natural, yet effective skin care and has dry, more mature skin. ARK Age prepare review!

ARK is one of those brands that has one of the most interesting skin care philosophies out there. Most brands like to categorize your skin by it's type, but ARK believe in treating your skin according to it's age concerns......I won't bore you with all the details (I personally find them fascinating but i'm odd that way) but if you want to read more about the brands ethos and find out which category your skin fits into, visit their lovely website  http://www.arkskincare.com/page.php?pageId=1.

I was sent 2 products to review from the age prepare range, which is targeted at women in their teens to early 30's and are packed full of antioxidants and helps protect your skin from any damage. I got the skin refining exfoliator and the skin purifying masque, and was super excited to try them when they came....I must add that whenever i'm testing out skin care, I like to give it a few weeks before I review it because I feel they need time to prove whether or not they actually work and make any visible differences to your skin.

The skin refining exfoliator is described as a antibacterial exfoliator that removes dead skin cells, debris and grime off your skin and helps refine yours skin's texture and clear out your pores, leaving your skin smooth and soft. I tend to use a product like this around 2-3 times a week and it does indeed leave your skin feeling very soft. It has a very natural herbal scent, that I personally really like, but if you are the kind of person who likes  lightly fragrance products, this will not be for you. In terms of the actual product, it has a light creamy texture with medium sized grains in it to help remove the dead skin cells and it feels very soothing on the skin, because it's not abrasive at all, not even the slightest so if you have sensitive skin this well work perfectly for you, but personally I prefer something a little stronger, but that's just my personal choice because I like the feeling. The skin refining exfoliator is £28.00 per 75ml so it's not cheap, but it could be worse!

The  skin purifying masque is described as a revitalizing multivitamin mask that purifies the skin, absorbs excess oil and temporarily tightens pores, and has grate ingredients it in for oily skin such as clay, white tea and wild water mint. It has a soft texture, meaning it's not one that sets on your skin and drys, and has the same scent as the the exfoliator. While this mask is very soothing and felt grate when my skin was a little irritated (the price I pay for trying out so much skin care on a weekly basis!), I didn't feel like it made my skin look clearer or my pores smaller, but it did a fantastic job at soothing my skin and making it feel clean and fresh. At £25.00 per 75ml it's a little pricey but I think it would be perfect for someone who has sensitive skin if your willing to spend a little more on your skin care.

Overall, I think these products are really nice because they are very gentle and soothing, and I love the idea behind the brand, I really want to try the clearing serum, so I may report back to you on that one, but I hope you liked this post.
